How Much Does Real Estate Photography Cost in Sydney? 2026

When you put together a marketing schedule for a vendor, the first question is usually how much the photos will cost. In Sydney, that depends on the property, how many images you need and which extras the campaign calls for. This guide covers what drives the price, what UberRE charges in 2026 and what is worth paying for on each type of listing, so you can quote vendors with confidence.

Every price below is UberRE's published rate for real estate photography in Sydney. All prices exclude GST, so add 10% for the total. UberRE is rated 5.0 from 25 Google reviews.

What affects the price of real estate photography?

Number of photos

Photo count is the biggest single factor. A one-bedroom unit might need eight images, while a four-bedroom family home with a pool usually needs 16 to 20. Paying for more photos than the property can justify only adds filler shots, so match the count to the home.

Property size

Larger homes take longer to shoot and edit, and some services are priced by size. Matterport 3D tours are the clearest example: a unit costs less to scan than a five-bedroom house.

Twilight

A real twilight shoot means the photographer is on site at dusk, so it is an add-on. Twilight retouching turns a daytime exterior into a dusk image for less.

Drone and aerial

Aerial photos show the block, the street and what is nearby, from the beach to the train station. Parts of Sydney sit in controlled airspace, so drone work needs CASA-certified pilots and proper flight planning.

Add-ons, travel and access

Floor plans, 3D tours and video each add to the total. Some photographers charge more for outer suburbs or difficult access, so it is worth asking before you book. UberRE's prices are the same right across Greater Sydney, from Hornsby to Engadine and out to Blacktown, and the same as in every other city we cover.

What's worth paying for, by listing type

Units and apartments

Buyers want to know the size, the flow and the view. Essentials (8 photos and a floor plan, from $380 + GST) covers most units. Step up to 12 photos for a larger apartment or one with a view worth several frames. If the unit is likely to attract interstate or overseas investors, a 3D tour from $300 + GST lets them inspect without flying in.

Family homes

Family buyers look at the backyard, the block and how far it is to schools and parks. Ready to list ($480 + GST) suits most family homes because its drone aerial shows all of this. If there is a pool or an outdoor entertaining area, add a twilight shot for $120 + GST to give the listing a hero image that stands out in portal search results.

Prestige and waterfront

When the location drives the price, the marketing has to prove it. Budget for 20 to 24 photos, several aerials, an Aerial 360 and a real twilight shoot. The Premium campaign (from $1,400 + GST) adds a Matterport tour and a walkthrough video, which also give you content for social media and email.

Commercial property

UberRE photographs offices, retail, industrial and development sites for agencies including Colliers, JLL and CBRE, and commercial property is priced the same as residential. Most commercial campaigns combine photography, a floor plan and aerials. After-hours shoots, when a space is empty, can be arranged by calling 1300 823 773. See our commercial property photography page.

How to save: book everything in one visit

The easiest way to keep costs down is to book every service in one order. Ready to list is the clearest example. Booked separately, 12 photos ($420), one drone aerial ($180) and a floor plan ($100) would cost $700 + GST. As a bundle, it is $480 + GST, a saving of $220 on every listing.

Services that need someone on site, such as drone, a real twilight shoot, a 3D tour or video, need another visit if you add them later. Booking them together means one appointment, one delivery and one invoice. If you only decide on a dusk image after the shoot, twilight retouching can be applied to your daytime photos at any time.

For context, Local Agent Finder's 2026 guide puts basic stills in Australia at around $150 to $300, with a mid-range package of 15 to 20 edited photos at around $400 to $700. Whoever you use, compare like-for-like inclusions and check whether prices include GST.
